Writing things down is good. "If you're thinking without writing, you're just trying to think." I've mad respect for folk like Gwern who have expended considerable effort into the craft of writing, especially as it intersects with more technical interests.

In the vein of home cooking, I want to hone my own writing which (unfortunately?) requires practice. Thus, I set myself astride this wagon once more.

anyway, I've been working a lot on my homelab. I've got a bunch of services running with Authentik-based SSO and a FreeIPA LDAP server, alongside ~5 or so Fedora desktop machines. Though I'm the main user my partners use some, and we all use the shared Fedora machines. Feels kinda cool to be running a baby "corporate network."

I'm also doing horrifically bad practices too, I'm sure. My DNS is all over the place. System stability is questionable at best, with single points of failure all over. I'm gradually improving resilience, but it's a long road.

So come along with me! maybe I'll do better about journaling my journey this round.
